CLI.PY / TERMS OF USE

Terms of use.

Effective October 24, 2026

A clear agreement for a deliberate publishing workflow. You authorize the account, choose the content, and confirm the post.

01Operator and acceptance

Cli.py is a desktop command-line utility operated by QuantumCore Systems. These Terms govern your use of Cli.py. By using the utility, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use it. Cli.py is an independent utility, not affiliated with TikTok, and these Terms do not represent TikTok approval.

02Authorize your own account

Use TikTok Login Kit to authorize only your own TikTok account. You are responsible for having authority to use that account and for protecting access to your device and account. Cli.py does not access accounts without authorization.

Cli.py uses TikTok Content Posting API Direct Post to publish to your authorized account’s profile feed and can check processing status. It does not publish Stories.

03Review and confirm

You choose the local video and caption. Before upload, you must review the returned TikTok username and available visibility settings, select appropriate settings, and explicitly confirm. Cli.py does not publish without confirmation. You remain responsible for ensuring the target account, content, caption, and settings match your intention.

04Content rights and lawful use

You must own your content or have all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and consents to upload and publish it, including for music, images, and people appearing in it. You remain responsible for your content and its consequences.

Comply with applicable law, TikTok’s terms, community guidelines, developer and Content Posting API policies, and any account restrictions. Do not use Cli.py to bypass TikTok controls, infringe rights, impersonate others, or publish unlawful content. TikTok’s separate terms also apply to your use of its services.

05Availability and TikTok controls

Availability depends on your device, connectivity, account eligibility, and TikTok’s API and service controls. TikTok may limit visibility, restrict posting, enforce quotas, moderate or remove content, revoke access, or change its API. A processing-status check is not a promise of publication or continued availability.

QuantumCore Systems does not guarantee successful posting, uninterrupted service, or any particular processing time or visibility. Cli.py may change or become unavailable. Review processing status before retrying to reduce the risk of duplicate posts.

06Local security and data

Tokens are stored locally in your config file, with owner-only permissions where supported, and are not encrypted by the app. Protect your device, config file, and backups. QuantumCore Systems does not run a server that stores your tokens or video files. See the Privacy policy for details on local data and TikTok processing.

07Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cli.py is provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’, without warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No promise is made that it will be error-free, secure against every threat, or compatible with every environment.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, QuantumCore Systems is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data, failed posts, or account restrictions arising from use of or inability to use Cli.py. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or overrides mandatory consumer rights. These limitations apply only as allowed in your jurisdiction.

08Changes and stopping use

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with an updated effective date. Review them before continuing to use Cli.py. If you do not accept a revision, stop using the utility. You may stop at any time, remove local data, and revoke authorization using TikTok’s account controls. Changes do not remove rights you have under applicable law.
